Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vasya Gorshkov (ranked 4373 p4p, 2959 weight class) and Jack Ryan (ranked 464 p4p, 359 weight class). Jack Ryan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vasya Gorshkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Ryan! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gorshkov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ryan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gorshkov thinking. Ryan lands a nice hook to Gorshkov's body. Gorshkov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Gorshkov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ryan gets a clinch. Ryan lands a nice uppercut. Ryan throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Gorshkov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ryan after a bit of a struggle. Ryan cracks Gorshkov with a nice body shot. Gorshkov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ryan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vasya Gorshkov. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryan lands with a short shot to the head. Ryan stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan leaning his opponent against the cage. Gorshkov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Gorshkov is trying to drag Ryan to the mat but Ryan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Gorshkov is working for takedown but Ryan is calmly controlling the position for now. Ryan lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short uppercut from Ryan. Ryan lands a left hand.
Ryan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gorshkov.
Ryan lands a hook that snaps the head of Gorshkov backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryan lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Gorshkov. A hook to the body from Ryan.
Ryan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gorshkov or not. Ryan lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Stalling in the clinch from Ryan.
Ryan makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Gorshkov is rocked! A short left from Ryan. Oh Gorshkov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ryan creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Gorshkov's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Gorshkov drops to his knees and Ryan pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Ryan! Our winner, Jack Ryan, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
