And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tai Ju!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Fontes.
Fontes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ju finds it's way round the side to connect with Fontes's head.
Fontes lands with a nice combination. Ju backs away looking to recover.
Ju with a poor takedown
letting Fontes counter with a right hand.
Ju shoots and misses
and Fontes counters with a right hand to the body.
Ju has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ju there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fontes keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ju has his takedown stuffed
and Fontes counters with a stiff right hand.
Ju is rocked!
Vinicius Fontes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tai Ju.
Fontes drops Ju with a straight right hand, right on the button! Fontes follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
