Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, McCauley Daugherty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ryo Hamada!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamada moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hamada has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hamada throws a head kick that misses.
It looked like Daugherty was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hamada.
Hamada pushes Daugherty away with a front kick.
Daugherty is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hamada throws a nice looking combination but Daugherty bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Daugherty takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hamada lands a really nice looking cross but Daugherty seems unphased.
Daugherty misses with an uppercut. Hamada saw that one coming.
Hamada scores with a jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Daugherty. That snapped Hamada's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Daugherty moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hamada lands a big uppercut and Daugherty crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Daugherty looks OK. Hamada waves Daugherty back to his feet!
Daugherty is rocked!
Hamada is looking to score with low kicks.
Oh Daugherty is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hamada drops Daugherty with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Daugherty! Hamada dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryo Hamada!
Ryo Hamada tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
