Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Okumura Satoshi (ranked 3836 p4p, 5198 weight class) and Mohammed Fahrad (ranked 443 p4p, 500 weight class). Mohammed Fahrad has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Okumura Satoshi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satoshi takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Satoshi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fahrad on his heels. He'll look to pass Fahrad 's guard now, I'm sure.

Fahrad bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Satoshi's guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fahrad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Satoshi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fahrad bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Satoshi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Mohammed Fahrad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fahrad shoots in and drives through. Satoshi sprawls well.

Our spies down at at Ocean Ripples inform us that Fahrad has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Satoshi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fahrad is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Satoshi, into his guard.

Fahrad is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Satoshi has latched onto it... Big trouble! Satoshi pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Fahrad is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Satoshi!
