The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujiwara throws a series of punches but Jaya avoids them all with ease.

Fujiwara is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jaya sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fujiwara tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jaya manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fujiwara changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jaya looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Jaya's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jaya looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Fujiwara's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
