Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Cotes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Underhill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cotes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Victory. Max Underhill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Underhill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cotes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Underhill somewhat. Nice takedown defense from Cotes. No joy for Underhill on that attempt. Cotes closes the distance and clinches. Underhill fails to pull guard.
Sean Cotes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Underhill. A short right from Cotes. Cotes lands a shoulder strike. Cotes keeps control of Underhill as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cotes wants to break free but Underhill has control.
Cotes breaks the clinch.
Cotes tries to clinch up but Underhill circles away and keeps his distance. Cotes shoots in and bounces Underhill off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cotes with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotes advances position into side control! Cotes decides to stand up, so the ref orders Underhill to his feet. Underhill with a lazy takedown attempt and Cotes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cotes wants to clinch. Underhill throws a lazy head kick and Cotes counters with a single leg into guard. Underhill didn't expect that. Underhill looks gassed! Cotes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cotes scoring with punches to the head and body. Cotes with a flurry of punches that miss. Cotes trying to control but Underhill is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cotes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cotes landing with the ground and pound. Cotes gets to his feet - Underhill follows without any prompting. Cotes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Cotes stands up and beckons Underhill to his feet. Max Underhill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Underhill tries a head kick but it misses.
A left and a right from Cotes both land. Nice combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cotes goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Underhill misses with a kick to the body.
Cotes darts in and clinches Underhill up against the cage. Cotes scores with a nice hook to the head. A short right from Cotes. Cotes working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Cotes working some nice short punches in the clinch. Cotes has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Underhill is trying to keep an underhook but Cotes manages to get the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cotes trying to control from half guard but Underhill is working away. Cotes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cotes trying to control the pace. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cotes stalling away here and it's allowed Underhill to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Underhill wants to stand up but Cotes is controlling him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cotes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cotes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cotes stands up from Underhill's guard - Cotes perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Cotes dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Underhill keeps the fight on the outside. Cotes moves in looking to clinch but Underhill pushes him off. Underhill misses with a takedown and Cotes counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Underhill is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cotes scores with a couple of nice shots. Cotes looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Cotes seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cotes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Underhill with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cotes wants to work for an arm triangle but Underhill is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cotes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cotes is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Underhill has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cotes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Underhill doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cotes. Cotes stops Underhill from getting back to his feet.
Cotes decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Cotes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cotes closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Underhill did well to prevent Cotes getting side control. Cotes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cotes decides to return to a standing position. Underhill falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cotes counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Cotes is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cotes throwing shots but Underhill is blocking nicely. Cotes passes to side control. Underhill wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Underhill is not content to let Cotes control the position. Underhill is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Cotes dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Cotes lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Underhill has his takedown stuffed and Cotes counters with a shoot takedown. Underhill fights it but they end up in guard. Cotes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cotes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Sean Cotes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cotes tries to clinch but Underhill moves out of range. Underhill swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cotes counters with a shoot takedown. Underhill fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cotes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotes throwing strikes but missing. Underhill is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cotes chips away with some ground and pound. Cotes wants to control from the top but Underhill keeps moving. Underhill is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cotes dives into side control.
Underhill is trying to control Cotes's posture but Cotes avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cotes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cotes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cotes decides to stand back up. Cotes steps back and let's Underhill get back to his feet. Underhill buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cotes clinches up against the cage. Cotes is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Underhill can't fight it off and eventually Cotes manages to take the fight to the floor. Underhill looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Underhill looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cotes is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cotes passes Underhill's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nice strikes from Cotes there. Cotes is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Cotes winds up and cracks Underhill with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Underhill trying to control from the bottom.
Cotes gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cotes blocks a head kick by Underhill.
Cotes feints and as Underhill raises his hands in defense, Cotes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cotes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Underhill can do to turn this around? Cotes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Underhill pushes Cotes off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Underhill misses with a double jab
and Cotes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cotes.
And that's the end of the fight! Sean Cotes showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cotes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
