Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Lamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamon shoots in but Burnett avoids the takedown attempt easily. Burnett fails in his attempt to clinch. Lamon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Burnett rushes Lamon and presses him up against the cage. Burnett wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Lamon controlling the action here for a moment.
Lamon has Burnett pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Burnett manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Burnett is pressed up against the cage. Lamon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Burnett down to the mat. Burnett avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. DJ Burnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Lamon. Lamon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burnett. Lamon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Burnett pinned against the cage. Burnett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Burnett looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lamon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lamon has his takedown stuffed and Burnett counters with a takedown into side control. Burnett in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Burnett is working Lamon over with some ground and pound from side control. Burnett is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lamon looks calm but he's in trouble here. Burnett gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lamon is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Burnett lets go of the hold and Lamon can pop his arm back in it's socket.
