The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makhno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Atkins.

Atkins goes for a double leg but Makhno avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Makhno continues to drive forward.

Atkins looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Atkins walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Makhno checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Atkins avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Atkins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Makhno manages to avoid it.

Atkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Makhno pinned against the cage. Makhno gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Makhno was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Makhno looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

and Makhno makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Atkins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Makhno throws a lazy right hand but Atkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Makhno counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Atkins shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Makhno sprawls well. Makhno wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Atkins gets slowly back to his feet.

and Makhno counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Atkins is rocked!
Atkins has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Atkins, as that shot connected.
Atkins is still on wobbly legs! Can Makhno finish him?
