Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deontay James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Black!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black thumps James with a low kick.
Black stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Black wants it to stay on the feet.
Black slips a jab and a cross from James.
Black keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
James looks for the body kick but Black saw that one coming.
Black wants to counter the offense by James and move into the clinch position.
Black misses with a jab, cross combination.
James rushes Black and presses him up against the cage.
Black pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Black as James shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deontay James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
James closes the distance and clinches up with Black, looking for a takedown. James pushes Black against the cage but Black circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Black fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with James, pushing him back against the cage.
James manages to break the clinch.
Black closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Deontay James has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Black takes one to the chin there.
James fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
James is breathing heavily.
A combination from Black does no damage.
James misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A slapping leg kick lands for Black.
No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Black fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and James has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Black lands a nice shot that snaps James's head back.
Good leg kick by Black.
Black lands a big head kick that sends James tumbling to the mat! Black takes a step backwards and waves James back to his feet - he wants the finish!
James is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
James backs away from a small jab... but Black lunges forward with a huge superman punch! James crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Black with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Anthony Black!
