Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Myles Murray (ranked 4005 p4p, 2505 weight class) and Jason Stackhouse (ranked 462 p4p, 331 weight class). Stackhouse has chosen True Blood as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Myles Murray could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jason Stackhouse 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Myles Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 32 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Stackhouse ! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murray misses with an uppercut
and Stackhouse counters with a body kick that stops Murray in his tracks momentarily. Murray steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stackhouse . Stackhouse ducks under a wild hook from Murray. Stackhouse only half commits to the counter leg kick. Stackhouse throws a lazy right hand but Murray sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Stackhouse ducks down and throws a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stackhouse jabbing away but nothing is landing. Murray is looking for a counter combo. Murray rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stackhouse counters with a leg kick. Murray takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stackhouse uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murray.
Stackhouse looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Jason Stackhouse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Stackhouse misses the target. Murray throwing a counter right hand but Stackhouse manages to avoid it. Murray has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blacktalians MMA in the buildup to the fight. Stackhouse lands a nice leg kick that just misses Murray's sensitive parts. A nice leg kick from Stackhouse , right into the meat of the thigh.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Murray loads up on a big right hand but Stackhouse slips the punch. Stackhouse now looks to counter with a shot at the body. A leg kick checked by Murray. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Stackhouse lands with a cross. Stackhouse throws a hook but Murray blocks it. Murray was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Stackhouse walks into a left hand. A solid leg kick lands there for Stackhouse .

and Murray counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Stackhouse counters with a nice uppercut. Murray tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Stackhouse ducks under a wild hook from Murray. And Stackhouse responds with a good body kick, but Murray manages to step out the way in time. Stackhouse misses with an uppercut
and Murray counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Murray looks to throw the jab but Stackhouse is out of range. Stackhouse misses the shot to the body. It looked like Murray wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stackhouse misses with a looping right. Stackhouse defending well as Murray loads up on a big left hand. Murray walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Murray scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Stackhouse digs a good body shot into Murray's ribs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Murray bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Stackhouse dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Stackhouse goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Stackhouse has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Murray ducks under a wild hook from Stackhouse . Jason Stackhouse seems to be getting the better of the standup. Murray misses with a wild combination.
Murray feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Stackhouse s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Murray might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stackhouse pivots, looking for a leg kick but Murray is out of range and Stackhouse settles back down.

and Stackhouse counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Murray displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stackhouse throws out the jab. Stackhouse needs to keep his hands up - Murray had a free shot at his head there. Stackhouse lands an overhand right. Murray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stackhouse . Murray falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Stackhouse counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Stackhouse . That's going to slow Murray down. Stackhouse jabs Murray right on the nose. Murray blinks but takes it well. Murray throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Stackhouse flicks out a counter leg kick but Murray steps away. The fighters circling - Stackhouse throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Stackhouse throws a lazy right hand but Murray sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Stackhouse misses with the body kick and Murray cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stackhouse misses with an uppercut. It looked like Murray wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Stackhouse misses and Murray counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Stackhouse missing with a left hand there. Murray was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Stackhouse throws a looping overhand right but Murray ducks down to avoid it. Murray scores with a shot to the body.
Stackhouse throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Murray throwing a counter right hand but Stackhouse manages to avoid it. Stackhouse throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Murray walks into a straight right hand from Stackhouse .

enabling Stackhouse to counter with a crisp jab. Stackhouse throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Murray counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A clash of legs there as Murray blocks the low kick. It looked like Murray was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Murray blocks a leg kick. Stackhouse tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murray was well out of range. Poor timing from Stackhouse . The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Murray drops Stackhouse with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Stackhouse looks back up at him and smiles so Murray waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Jason Stackhouse has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murray blocks the body kick.

That was a close second round but I would say that Myles Murray will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jason Stackhouse 's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Stackhouse slips a jab from Murray. The fighters circling - Stackhouse throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Murray swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A big right from Murray misses. Stackhouse scores with a hook. Murray moves into range and connects with a jab. Stackhouse loads up on a big right hand but Murray slips the punch. Stackhouse throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Stackhouse swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Murray.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice jab there from Stackhouse . Stackhouse lands a leg kick that knocks Murray off balance momentarily. Murray uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stackhouse . Stackhouse wants to slow Murray down by chopping away at his legs. Stackhouse lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

and Stackhouse counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Murray thinking.

Stackhouse with the inside leg kick. Murray throws a shot from downtown. Stackhouse moves away and avoids it. Stackhouse is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Murray with a body shot. Murray waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stackhouse . Stackhouse uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murray.
Stackhouse throws a jab but it's blocked by Murray. Murray swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Murray misses with a low kick as Stackhouse jumps back.
And that's the end of the fight! Myles Murray showed his dominance in that final round. Well Murray has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Myles Murray seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Jason Stackhouse spoke after the fight, saying 'It's like if a tree falls in the woods, it's still a tree, ain't it?'.
