Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyle Manuwich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Teagarden! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teagarden throws a good cross that connects.
Nice shot lands for Teagarden. Teagarden connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Manuwich looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Manuwich gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Teagarden throws a series of punches but Manuwich avoids them all with ease. Teagarden with a body punch. A glancing blow. Teagarden keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Manuwich. Teagarden lands a jab. Teagarden lands a slapping body shot.
Manuwich looks to land a left hand but Teagarden moved out of range nicely. Manuwich throws a front kick aimed at Teagarden's knee but Teagarden avoids it well. Teagarden looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. This has been an exciting period of action! Teagarden scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Teagarden paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Teagarden lands a glancing blow to the side of Manuwich's head. Manuwich walks into a straight right hand from Teagarden. Teagarden works over Manuwich's head and body with a nice combination. Manuwich throws a nice looking combination but Teagarden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've been informed that Teagarden has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Teagarden connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Manuwich momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Teagarden dips to his left and cracks Manuwich with an uppercut! Manuwich on the wrong end of a nice jab. Manuwich doesn't manage to clinch there - Teagarden circles away.
Teagarden cracks Manuwich with a right hand to the side of the head. Manuwich takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Manuwich lands a front kick to the face, that drops Teagarden to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Teagarden stalks Manuwich and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Manuwich's face. Manuwich staggers backwards, shaken. Manuwich fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Teagarden, pushing him back against the ropes. Teagarden has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Teagarden wants to break the clinch but can't.
Teagarden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Teagarden scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Manuwich moves forwards but Teagarden connects with a nice, crisp jab. Manuwich closes the distance and clinches. Teagarden is trying to break the clinch but Manuwich is controlling him. Manuwich tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Teagarden stuns Manuwich with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Teagarden might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab lands there for Teagarden. A combination from Teagarden does no damage. Manuwich looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Teagarden lands with an overhand left. Teagarden keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Manuwich throws a nice looking combination but Teagarden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Manuwich takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Teagarden scores with a jab to the body. Manuwich shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Manuwich throws a big shot that misses. Teagarden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Manuwich misses with a low kick.
Manuwich fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Teagarden is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Manuwich had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Manuwich is breathing heavily. Teagarden blocks a head kick by Manuwich.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Teagarden throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Manuwich is rocked! A left lands for Teagarden. Oh Manuwich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Manuwich walks straight into a big right, left combination from Teagarden and drops to the floor! Oh, he's out cold! He's out cold! Wow, that finish was brutal! Congratulations to Teagarden as he moves his way up the rankings!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jim Teagarden! Jim Teagarden decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
