Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adrian Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dante Devitt!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devitt shoots for a takedown but Hughes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A quick step to the side and Hughes tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Devitt doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hughes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Devitt thinking.
Devitt fails with a takedown attempt.
Hughes swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Adrian Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Devitt.
No luck for Hughes with that takedown attempt.
Dante Devitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Devitt fails with the takedown
and Hughes counters with a nice uppercut.
Devitt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hughes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hughes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Devitt throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Devitt throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Devitt trying to control the position from guard on top but Hughes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hughes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hughes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hughes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hughes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Devitt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hughes keeping full guard, as Devitt tries to pass.
Hughes is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Devitt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hughes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Devitt is rocked!
Hughes shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Devitt is on queer street and Hughes is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
