The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hardman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pawn quickly recovers to half guard.

Hardman is looking for a kimura but Pawn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hardman to get the leverage.
Pawn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hardman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pawn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pawn wants to stand back up but Hardman manages to pass into side control.

Hardman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pawn, who protects the arm well.

Hardman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pawn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hardman has hold of Pawn's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Pawn tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hardman cranks the arm and Pawn screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Pawn, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
