Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maxton Hefferman (ranked 5816 p4p, 25167 weight class) and Trent Bash (ranked 527 p4p, 545 weight class). Maxton Hefferman is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maxton Hefferman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Bash!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bash shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hefferman but Hefferman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A quick step to the side and Hefferman tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hefferman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hefferman tries to avoid it but Bash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hefferman to the ground. Hefferman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bash defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hefferman.

Bash fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hefferman sprawls well initially but Bash persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hefferman tries to kick Bash off but Bash keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bash is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Bash looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bash wants to work for an arm triangle but Hefferman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bash is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bash is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bash is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hefferman defends it well.
Bash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hefferman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hefferman stuffs the takedown attempt from Bash. Bash gets slowly back to his feet.
Hefferman looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Maxton Hefferman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Bash.
Hefferman tries to clinch but Bash is having none of it.
Bash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hefferman's waist but Hefferman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bash off to one side.

Bash shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bash showed some decent athleticism there.

Bash is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hefferman sees it coming and defends easily.

Trent Bash dominated that round.
That's time! Hefferman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bash swings around for an armbar but Hefferman sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bash's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bash can do anything to dispel that myth.

Trent Bash has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hefferman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hefferman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Bash has eaten all the pies!

Bash is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hefferman pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bash manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

A close second round but Trent Bash will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Bash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hefferman went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Hefferman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bash sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hefferman somewhat.
Bash tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Bash shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hefferman as he avoids it easily.

Hefferman gets caught flat footed, as Bash shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hefferman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bash is controlling him.

Bash is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Bash drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hefferman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bash has Hefferman in his guard.

Hefferman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bash has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hefferman has managed to get both his arms back between Bash's legs - danger averted.

Bash has his foot on Hefferman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hefferman works his way back into a safe position though.

Trent Bash is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Bash pulls Hefferman in close to his closed guard and prevents Hefferman from doing any damage or advancing position.

Trent Bash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bash winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
