Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oro Doro (ranked 5671 p4p, 5795 weight class) and Franz Ramos (ranked 487 p4p, 496 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Doro tries to clinch but Ramos moves out of range.
Ramos thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ramos misses with a few strikes there.
Doro closes the distance but Ramos moves to the side
and Ramos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Doro fails with an attempt to clinch.
Doro has closed the distance and engaged Ramos in a clinch.
Doro tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ramos's elbow.
Doro tries to land a knee to the head but Ramos blocks with his arms.

Ramos looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Doro was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Doro gets through Ramos's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ramos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oro Doro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramos misses the shot to the body.
Doro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Doro tries to work over Ramos's front leg with a kick but Ramos checks it.
Ramos looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Ramos throws out a loose jab but Doro uses good head movement to avoid it.
Doro works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Doro tries to clinch there but Ramos circles away.
Ramos throws out a counter right but Doro avoids it with no problem.
Ramos scores with a jab. Doro acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Doro tries to close the distance and clinch but Ramos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Doro fails with an attempt to clinch.
Doro misses with a combination
and Ramos counters with a nice right hand that sends Doro toppling to the canvas! Doro scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ramos finish him?!
Doro is rocked!
It looks like Oro Doro has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ramos ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Doro out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Franz Ramos!
