Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vasko Panchev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panchev wants to clinch
and Jones counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A left and a right from Panchev both land. Nice combination.
Panchev dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Panchev's head and hops out.
Panchev takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Vasko Panchev has been cut.

Jones creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Panchev's defenses.
I was talking to Panchev's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jones lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Vasko Panchev's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
