Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mackin Hooez (ranked 3917 p4p, 4316 weight class) and Bardhal Marku (ranked 316 p4p, 354 weight class). Bardhal Marku will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marku throws the left hand but Hooez avoids the punch easily.
Hooez tries to move into range but Marku moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hooez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marku is fending him off so far but Hooez persists. Nope, Marku circles away and we're back to standing.

Hooez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Marku's guard.

Hooez passes Marku's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Hooez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Marku defends it well.
Marku is in trouble now - Hooez has advanced to mount!

Hooez wants to finish this one by submission but Marku is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hooez.
Hooez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Marku is trying to escape the mount.
Hooez wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Hooez avoids the attempt from Marku to control.

Hooez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Marku manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marku might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hooez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hooez is working to tighten his grip on Marku's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Marku has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hooez is really squeezing tight and eventually Marku passes out! Hooez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
