Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Baba Yaga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Branimir Tanev!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Yaga there.
Yaga lunges at Tanev with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tanev's hand.
Yaga feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Tanev sprawling to the canvas! Tanev rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Yaga finish him?!
Tanev is rocked!
Yaga circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Tanev to the canvas! Tanev doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Yaga keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baba Yaga!
A relieved looking Baba Yaga thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
