Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gilberto Pilao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Duncan Farquharson! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pilao scores with a takedown into Farquharson's guard. Farquharson controlling the position. Pilao throwing strikes but missing. Farquharson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Farquharson throwing strikes but missing. Farquharson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pilao's head. Pilao wants to sweep here but Farquharson controlling him for the moment. Farquharson connects with a couple of short punches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Farquharson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Pilao on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pilao tries to get out of the position. Farquharson is thwarting Pilao's attempts to control the position. Still in half guard, Farquharson seems content to control. Farquharson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pilao is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Farquharson scores with a couple of nice shots. Farquharson is nestled in close to Pilao, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Pilao's coaches at Shinobi Martial Arts & Ninjutsu have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Farquharson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Pilao quite badly. Pilao pulls Farquharson in close trying to recover. Farquharson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Pilao on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Pilao doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
