Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Osteen (ranked 4412 p4p, 4404 weight class) and Mikek Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joseph Osteen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mikek Cortez! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Osteen shoots in looking for a takedown but Cortez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Osteen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Osteen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Mikek Cortez has been cut. Cortez looks for the body kick but Osteen saw that one coming. Osteen lands a big head kick that sends Cortez tumbling to the mat! Osteen takes a step backwards and waves Cortez back to his feet - he wants the finish! Cortez throws a wild body kick that Osteen sees coming a mile off. Osteen moves out of range of the body kick. Osteen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cortez is fending him off so far but Osteen persists. Nope, Cortez circles away and we're back to standing. Osteen dives in for a single leg takedown but Cortez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Osteen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Osteen trying to land knees to the body.

Osteen goes for a double leg but Cortez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cortez continues to drive forward. Cortez follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Osteen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Cortez is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Osteen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cortez stuffs the takedown attempt from Osteen. Osteen gets slowly back to his feet. Osteen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cortez as he jumps to the side. Cortez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Osteen. Cortez throws a wild body kick that Osteen sees coming a mile off. Osteen throws a head kick that misses. Osteen moves into the clinch. Osteen is looking for a takedown. Osteen jumps guard but Cortez stands there with Osteen around his waist. Osteen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cortez counters with a body kick. Osteen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cortez pinned against the cage. Cortez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Osteen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Osteen fails with a takedown attempt. Cortez thinks about the counter body kick. Cortez throws a half hearted mid kick. Osteen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Osteen moves out of range of the body kick. Osteen throws a chopping leg kick but Cortez manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Mikek Cortez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cortez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Osteen shoots for a double leg takedown but Cortez sprawls well. He's pushed Osteen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck for Osteen with that takedown attempt. Cortez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Osteen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cortez as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cortez is looking to land body kicks.
