Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hanji Momtun (ranked 4561 p4p, 4383 weight class) and Vsevolod Mehdomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mehdomedov has chosen The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hanji Momtun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vsevolod Mehdomedov! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mehdomedov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Momtun defends well and Mehdomedov ends up having to push Momtun into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Momtun is looking to score with low kicks. Momtun looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mehdomedov! Mehdomedov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Momtun lands a decent elbow from side control. Momtun just content to control the position. Mehdomedov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Momtun advances to full mount. Momtun working for a guillotine from mount but Mehdomedov is in no mood to give up. Mehdomedov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Momtun takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mehdomedov wants to control but Momtun is having none of it. Momtun is standing up, even though he is in mount. Momtun moves into the clinch. Momtun pulls Mehdomedov into guard.
Mehdomedov stands up over Momtun, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Momtun is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mehdomedov defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Momtun is pulling down on Mehdomedov's head. It's preventing any offense from Mehdomedov, at least for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Momtun lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Momtun wants to pass the guard but Mehdomedov is keeping the position. Mehdomedov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mehdomedov trying to control from the bottom.
Mehdomedov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Momtun haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Mehdomedov wants to get back to full guard. Momtun content to control rather than advance. Momtun passes the guard and advances to mount! Momtun content just to control the position here. Momtun lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Momtun takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Momtun has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mehdomedov's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Momtun working for a guillotine from mount but Mehdomedov is in no mood to give up. Momtun controlling the pace for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Momtun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Momtun showed some decent athleticism there. Mehdomedov tries to get to full guard but Momtun has control of the leg. Momtun slows the pace down in half guard. Momtun lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mehdomedov tries to kick Momtun off but Momtun keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Momtun passes to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Momtun controlling his opponent. This is a sustained period of stalling by Momtun. Momtun continues to hold on tight. Momtun has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mehdomedov's face.
Mehdomedov wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Momtun gets his hands free as Mehdomedov looks to control. Mehdomedov is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Mehdomedov defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Momtun's arms.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Momtun throwing damaging strikes from the back! Mehdomedov could be in trouble here!
Momtun has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Mehdomedov is in real trouble here. Momtun gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Mehdomedov is tapping out! Momtun wins by rear naked choke!
