Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Wetton (ranked 695 p4p, 4836 weight class) and Max Gunn (ranked 102 p4p, 488 weight class). Max Gunn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn cracks Wetton with an open hand slap.
Gunn throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wetton counters with a takedown into side control.
Wetton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wetton is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gunn's shoulder. That is not cool.
Wetton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Gunn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wetton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gunn wants to control but Wetton postures up.
Wetton advances to mount.
Wetton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gunn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wetton content just to control the position here.

Wetton moves to take his opponent's back.
Wetton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wetton is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Gunn taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Wetton.
