Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julian Jitsu (ranked 5721 p4p, 516 weight class) and Jon Meril (ranked 0 p4p, 79 weight class). Jon Meril is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Julian Jitsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Meril!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitsu misses with the body kick
and Meril counters with a right hand to the body.
Jitsu tries to work over Meril's front leg with a kick but Meril checks it.
Meril appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Jitsu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jitsu throws a head kick that misses
and Meril counters with a nice body shot.
Jitsu throws a lazy head kick
and Meril counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jitsu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Meril counters with a straight right hand.
Jitsu throws out a loose jab but Meril uses good head movement to avoid it.
Meril connects with a looping right hand.
Jitsu takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Meril connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jitsu. Jitsu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jitsu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jitsu is rocked!
Meril feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Jitsu crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jon Meril!
