Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Taylor (ranked 4450 p4p, 904 weight class) and Haruki Muramaki (ranked 0 p4p, 127 weight class). The key to victory for Bruce Taylor has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruce Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Haruki Muramaki! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor throws a jab but it's blocked by Muramaki. Muramaki misses with a hook
and Taylor counters with a straight right hand. Bruce Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from Muramaki does no damage. Taylor fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Taylor throws a right hand that misses
and Muramaki counters with a nice uppercut. Taylor connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Muramaki uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taylor. Muramaki lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Taylor definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Taylor misses with a two punch combination.
A little jabbing left from Muramaki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Taylor scores with a nice strike. Taylor misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Muramaki tries to move into range but Taylor moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Taylor throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A little jabbing left from Muramaki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A combination from Muramaki does no damage. Taylor dodges the punch combination from Muramaki.
Sloppy strikes from Muramaki. Those never looked like landing. A counter left hand to the body from Taylor misses its target. Taylor slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Taylor lands with a hook. Muramaki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Taylor throws a jab but it's blocked by Muramaki. Muramaki loads up on a big right hand but Taylor slips the punch. Taylor misses with a hook. Muramaki ducked under it nicely. A little jabbing left from Muramaki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Taylor scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Muramaki doesn't seem bothered though. Muramaki has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Taylor counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Muramaki misses. Muramaki staying out of range there. Taylor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Muramaki moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Muramaki throws a lazy uppercut
and Taylor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Taylor with a hook. Taylor scores with the left hand. Muramaki knows he should have avoided that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor tests Muramaki's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nice straight punches there by Taylor. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Taylor. Muramaki takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Taylor is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Taylor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Muramaki throws an off balance right hand

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Muramaki doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Taylor throws a hook but Muramaki avoids it easily. Muramaki takes a shot right to the bread basket. Taylor wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Muramaki throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Muramaki blocks a jab. Muramaki on the wrong end of a nice hook. Taylor lands a nice looking body shot.
Taylor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Muramaki's hands. Muramaki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Taylor dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Taylor lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Bruce Taylor is winning the standup battle so far. Taylor dips to his left and cracks Muramaki with an uppercut! Taylor lands with a straight right. Muramaki didn't see that one coming. Taylor swinging wildly here.
Muramaki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Taylor. Muramaki misses with an uppercut
and Taylor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Taylor throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Muramaki looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor lands with a nice body punch. Taylor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Muramaki can do to turn this around? Taylor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Muramaki has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Taylor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Muramaki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Muramaki takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor takes a shot right to the bread basket. Taylor lands an overhand right. Taylor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Taylor lands a nice shot that snaps Muramaki's head back.
The fighters circle momentarily. Taylor darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Taylor cracks a nice hook into Muramaki's ribs. Taylor moves out of range of the strikes. Taylor shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Muramaki eats them both and turns towards Taylor to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Taylor digs a good body shot into Muramaki's ribs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Muramaki on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Muramaki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Taylor jabs Muramaki right on the nose. Muramaki blinks but takes it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Taylor - just one landing. Taylor throws the left hand but Muramaki avoids the punch easily. Muramaki looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Taylor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Muramaki.
Taylor smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Taylor tests Muramaki's chin there with a solid looking shot. Muramaki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Muramaki takes one on the button. Muramaki works the jab nicely. Taylor works the jab nicely. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Muramaki might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Taylor has got the better of the exchanges.

Taylor dips to his left and cracks Muramaki with an uppercut! Muramaki's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Taylor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Muramaki scrambles back to his feet. Muramaki waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Taylor. Taylor bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Muramaki misses with a right hand and Taylor counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Muramaki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Muramaki throws a right and a left that Taylor avoids nicely. Muramaki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

And that's the end of the fight! Bruce Taylor showed his dominance in that final round. Well Taylor has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
