Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tainan Dalpra (ranked 2934 p4p, 1604 weight class) and Marco Peccati (ranked 0 p4p, 209 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marco Peccati was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tainan Dalpra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marco Peccati! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalpra shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Peccati napping and manages to drive through into side control! Peccati is looking for a sweep. Dalpra has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Peccati prevents Dalpra from improving position. Peccati tries to bench press Dalpra off him but Dalpra keeps the position. Peccati manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dalpra's best efforts. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dalpra seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dalpra is trying to control the action in half guard but Peccati is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dalpra is pressing down on Peccati's thigh, looking to free his foot. Peccati is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalpra trying to control from half guard but Peccati is working away. Dalpra trying to mount his opponent but Peccati defends it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Dalpra moves into full mount! Peccati won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dalpra is trying to control here but Peccati has managed to regain half guard.
Peccati is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dalpra's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dalpra's back! Dalpra can't escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dalpra is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
I really don't envy Dalpra right now.

Dalpra shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Peccati displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dalpra. Peccati closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Dalpra won't allow Peccati to pass to mount. Marco Peccati showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Dalpra's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Peccati shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dalpra's guard. Dalpra trying to keep a closed guard but Peccati is proving a slippery customer.
Dalpra is really struggling to control Peccati but he's trying to hold on to the position. Dalpra tries to land a sweep but no joy. Peccati not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Dalpra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Peccati is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalpra wants to sweep but no luck. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Dalpra trying to keep a closed guard but Peccati is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Dalpra shoots in looking for a takedown. Peccati tries to sprawl out of it but Dalpra keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Peccati manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dalpra tries for a takedown but Peccati sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Peccati drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dalpra defends it well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tainan Dalpra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peccati drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dalpra is trying to control Peccati's posture but Peccati avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peccati in side control, just content to control the action for now. Peccati passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dalpra! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dalpra wants to hold on but Peccati pushes him away. Peccati controlling the pace for now. Tainan Dalpra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dalpra is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Marco Peccati comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Peccati has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
