Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Babcock (ranked 3143 p4p, 1701 weight class) and Phillip Personal Space (ranked 0 p4p, 229 weight class). Phillip Personal Space has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Babcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phillip Personal Space!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Personal Space lands a jab to Babcock's midsection.
Bob Babcock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Babcock dives in and scores a takedown into Personal Space's guard.
Personal Space is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Babcock wants to control from the top but Personal Space keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Personal Space can do anything to dispel that myth.
Personal Space wants to get back to his feet but Babcock is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Babcock cracks Personal Space with a solid left hand.
Babcock is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Babcock trying to control but Personal Space is working from the bottom.
Babcock missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Personal Space wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Babcock manages to pass to side control.
Babcock is trying to control the action in half guard but Personal Space is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Babcock tries to pass to full mount but Personal Space defends it.
Babcock frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Babcock can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Personal Space is looking to escape.
Babcock lands a nice shot to the head.
Babcock with a couple of short strikes.
Personal Space really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Babcock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Personal Space is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
We've been hearing good reports from Babcock's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Babcock tries to control but Personal Space wriggling away.
Babcock lands a couple of good shots and Personal Space has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Personal Space is trying to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Personal Space felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Babcock is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Babcock gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Babcock gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Babcock apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Personal Space lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Babcock darts in looking for a takedown but Personal Space gets double underhooks and turns Babcock into the cage.
Personal Space lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Babcock.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Personal Space scores with a shot to the side of Babcock's head.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Personal Space lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Personal Space scores with a nice hook to the head.
Personal Space cracks Babcock with a nice body shot.
Personal Space lands a shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Personal Space lands a hook that snaps the head of Babcock backwards.
Babcock tries for a takedown. No joy.
Personal Space makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Personal Space lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Personal Space lands a right hand that snaps the head of Babcock backwards.

Personal Space breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Personal Space lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Babcock is rocked!
Personal Space cracks Babcock with a hook to the temple - Babcock is on wobbly legs here! Personal Space swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Babcock falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Personal Space wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Phillip Personal Space!
A very excited looking Phillip Personal Space made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
