The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Beg tenderised Darcey's leg. Darcey is trying to keep his angry face on.
Beg keeps Darcey at a distance using the push kick.
Beg throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Good leg kick by Beg.

Darcey scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Beg tries to get to full guard but Darcey has control of the leg.

It looks like Mirza Beg has been cut.
Darcey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Darcey not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Beg keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Darcey frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The cut above Mirza Beg's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Beg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Darcey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Darcey fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Mirza Beg's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mirza Beg's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
