Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ching Chong (ranked 3706 p4p, 4482 weight class) and Steven Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chong comes to the cage accompanied by Fortnite Battlepass. Steven Garner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ching Chong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Garner! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Francis DeMontford and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Chong throws a right and a left that both miss. Garner lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Garner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Chong counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Garner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chong's head. Garner throws a leg kick and Chong counters with a one-two to the body. Garner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chong as he avoids it easily. Steven Garner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garner misses with a hook. Chong ducked under it nicely. Garner throws a combination that misses and Chong counters with a two punch combo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chong showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Garner.

Garner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chong. Garner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. That's three minutes gone in the round. Chong feints a jab promting Garner to slip. Chong then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Garner slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Garner gets caught flat footed, as Chong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Chong stands up over Garner, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Chong is pushing down on Garner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Garner is fighting to maintain full guard but Chong has managed to sneak the leg through. Garner wants to control the action here but instead Chong manages to pass to full mount! Chong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Garner felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Garner can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chong fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Chong putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee warns Garner that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Chong content just to control the position here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chong takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

As Garner looks to move away, Chong throws a big counter combo but Garner just gets out of the way. Ching Chong is winning the standup battle so far. A punch combination from Garner misses. Garner misses with a few strikes there.
Chong doesn't manage to clinch there - Garner circles away.
Garner fails with the takedown and Chong makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Chong looks to land a combination but Garner avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chong moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Garner misses with a double jab
and Chong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Garner wants to control the position but Chong says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Chong is figuring out what he wants to do next. Chong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Chong scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chong trying to control the pace. Chong moves nicely into side control. Chong staying calm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Steven Garner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chong's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Ching Chong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Ching Chong showed his dominance in that final round. Well Chong has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
