Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kurt the wrestler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Oh my god.... These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kurt the wrestler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Bob! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! the wrestler tries to clinch up. Bob circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bob swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

the wrestler closes the distance and pushes Bob back into the cage. Bob prevents the wrestler from breaking the clinch. the wrestler tries to break free but Bob pushes him back against the cage. Bob breaks the clinch.
Bob avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bob rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but the wrestler moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bob misses with a wild combination.

Kurt the wrestler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bob will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

the wrestler thows a body shot but no joy. the wrestler moves in looking to clinch but Bob pushes him off. the wrestler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. the wrestler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. the wrestler slips under a jab. Bob scores with a jab. the wrestler tries to clinch up. the wrestler tries to clinch but Bob is having none of it. the wrestler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bob swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bob ducks down and throws a hook to the body but the wrestler moves away. the wrestler shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. the wrestler wants to free his trapped foot but Bob is holding on for dear life with his legs.

the wrestler is looking to take a break and control but Bob is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. the wrestler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bob blocking the ground and pound attempt from the wrestler. the wrestler tries to pass to full mount but Bob defends it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. the wrestler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bob avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. the wrestler fails with an attempt to clinch.
the wrestler scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bob gets back to half guard. the wrestler lands strikes from half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. the wrestler connects with a nice short shot to Bob's temple. the wrestler is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bob keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. the wrestler scoring with strikes to the body and head. the wrestler scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bob is pressing down on the wrestler's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bob looking to hit a scissor sweep but the wrestler is one step ahead there. Bob looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. the wrestler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. the wrestler is looking to advance position but Bob has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! the wrestler throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. the wrestler is desperately trying to improve his position but Bob has a good base and remains in mount. the wrestler is working hard here to advance position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kurt the wrestler will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

the wrestler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A jab from the wrestler finds it's way through Bob's defenses. the wrestler fails in his attempt to clinch. the wrestler is looking to clinch. the wrestler connects with a nice looking jab.
the wrestler tries to clinch up. the wrestler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bob paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice body punch from Bob. the wrestler wants to clinch. Bob throws a wild combination but nothing lands. the wrestler fails with an attempt to clinch.
the wrestler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. the wrestler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. the wrestler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bob paws at him with a jab and circles away. Big Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. the wrestler fails in his attempt to clinch. the wrestler doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from the wrestler is defended easily by Bob. the wrestler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bob trying to control from the bottom.
Bob avoiding damage under a succession of punches from the wrestler. Bob makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bob. the wrestler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bob works some decent striking defense from the bottom. the wrestler is fighting to break Bob's control of his arms but Bob is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob tries to land a sweep but no joy. the wrestler throwing strikes from guard but Bob blocks nicely. the wrestler throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as the wrestler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. the wrestler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Bob keeping moving, preventing the wrestler from controlling successfully. the wrestler is looking to work some ground and pound but Bob has wrist control. the wrestler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. the wrestler throws a big right hand that misses. Bob looking to hit a scissor sweep but the wrestler is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. the wrestler throws a strike but Bob rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. the wrestler looking to sweep here. No luck so far. the wrestler trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. the wrestler moves into the clinch. Bob lands a left hand that snaps the head of the wrestler backwards. the wrestler breaks the clinch.
Bob throws a series of punches but the wrestler moves out of range. the wrestler fails in his attempt to clinch. the wrestler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bob.
the wrestler shoots for a double leg takedown but Bob sprawls well. He's pushed the wrestler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt the wrestler. That's going to take a lot out of him. the wrestler tries to clinch there but Bob circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. the wrestler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. the wrestler slips a straight right by Bob. Bob lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bob throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bob keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. the wrestler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bob is fending him off so far but the wrestler persists. Nope, Bob circles away and we're back to standing. the wrestler tries to clinch there but Bob circles away.
the wrestler lands a jab-cross combination. Bob circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bob looks to land a right hand but the wrestler moved out of range. Bob lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. the wrestler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bob wants to control but the wrestler is having none of it. Bob is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but the wrestler is staying active. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kurt the wrestler dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

the wrestler is looking to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. the wrestler fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bob takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. the wrestler thows a body shot but no joy. Bob swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Some wild striking there from Bob.
Bob lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. the wrestler fails with the takedown. the wrestler has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bob finds it's way round the side to connect with the wrestler's head. Bob misses with a wild body shot. the wrestler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bob's waist but Bob gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing the wrestler off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt the wrestler. That's going to take a lot out of him. the wrestler gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. the wrestler fails in his attempt to clinch. the wrestler shoots in looking for a takedown. Bob tries to sprawl out of it but the wrestler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bob manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. the wrestler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bob moves out of range and avoids them all easily. the wrestler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bob holding on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. the wrestler misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Bob takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
the wrestler scores with punches from side control. the wrestler throwing shots but missing, from side control. the wrestler landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. the wrestler looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bob is avoiding damage well.
the wrestler working away. the wrestler has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bob! the wrestler misses with a head shot. the wrestler lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. the wrestler lands a big shot there that rocks Bob but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kurt the wrestler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. the wrestler has hold of Bob's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bob manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
the wrestler looking to ground and pound but Bob is blocking nicely. Bob tries to hold on but the wrestler pushes him away. Big Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! the wrestler lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bob hang on? the wrestler sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! the wrestler is landing with some decent strikes but Bob is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bob holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as the wrestler tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by the wrestler. Poor strikes thrown by the wrestler there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Bob tries to get back to half guard but can't. the wrestler working away from the top, dropping strikes. the wrestler trying to control but Bob is having none of it. the wrestler unloading with bombs! Bob manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. the wrestler is looking to take a break and control but Bob is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. the wrestler not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Kurt the wrestler showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for the wrestler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
