Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Morril (ranked 3516 p4p, 25097 weight class) and Terry Ryan (ranked 416 p4p, 547 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Morril! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terry Ryan! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Morril - just one landing. Morril misses with a hook. Ryan ducked under it nicely. Morril jabs Ryan to the body, keeping him at a distance. Morril darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Morril lands a slapping body shot.
Morril ducks under a wild hook from Ryan. Ryan moves forwards but Morril connects with a nice, crisp jab. Morril lands an overhand right. Morril uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ryan has time to react. Morril stuffs the takedown. Morril throws out a powerful jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ryan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Morril fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ryan on the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morril sizes up Ryan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Morril slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ryan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Morril. Morril has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Morril is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Morril throws out a powerful jab.
Ryan is rocked! Ryan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ryan is still on wobbly legs! Can Morril finish him? Ryan gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Morril gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Ryan is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Morril! Sam Morril bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
