Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Niko Smith (ranked 4364 p4p, 6135 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen The Office as his entrance music. Scott has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Niko Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Scott!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith cracks a nice hook into Scott's ribs.
Scott looks winded!
Scott misses with a double jab
and Smith counters with a two punch combo.
Smith lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Scott backs up against the cage.
Smith lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Smith.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Scott is rocked!
Scott looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well.
Scott is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Scott looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smith clobbers Scott with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Smith listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Scott slips a jab from Smith.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith cracks Scott with a good jab.
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith scores with the left hand. Scott knows he should have avoided that one.
Scott uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Scott is trying to counter with his kicks.
Smith takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Smith tries to score with a low kick but Scott moves his leg out of the way.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Scott. Scott circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Niko Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Scott at a distance.
Scott walks into a jab.
Smith is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith throws out a loose jab but Scott uses good head movement to avoid it.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith lands with an uppercut that bounces Scott off the cage and back into range.
Smith with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Smith's jab looks to have found its range, popping Scott under the eye.
Scott on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Smith throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Scott has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Scott manages to avoid it.
And Scott tries to counter it with a takedown but Smith pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Smith with a nice cross.
Smith lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Scott falls backwards - clearly groggy! Smith dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Niko Smith!
