And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Iranian Hulk!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hulk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hulk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thorgard sprawls well. Thorgard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hulk gets slowly back to his feet.
Hulk fails with a takedown attempt.
Thorgard cracks Hulk with a right hand to the side of the head.
Thorgard dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Thorgard is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Hulk tries to keep at a distance but Thorgard has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hulk jumps guard but Thorgard stands there with Hulk around his waist. Hulk gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hulk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thorgard walks away with a smile on his face. Hulk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hulk is trying to drag Thorgard to the mat but Thorgard just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Thorgard creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hulk drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thorgard pulls his leg out and moves away.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hulk gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Thorgard points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Hulk wakes up just in time to hear Thorgard thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Alexei Thorgard decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
