The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ward backs up against the cage.

It looks like William Ward has been cut.
Lopez connects with a crisp jab.
Ward misses with a straight left.
Ward takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ward on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Decent striking displayed by Lopez there.
Lopez lands a two punch combo.

Ward swats away the attempt to clinch by Lopez.
Ward tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lopez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Lopez sends Ward crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lopez is motioning to the referee to let Ward up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
