Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Wetton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Maine!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maine looks to land a right hand but Wetton moved out of range.
Wetton feinted with a counter takedown.
Wetton ducks under a wild hook from Maine.
Wetton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wetton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Maine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wetton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maine but Maine pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Wetton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Maine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wetton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wetton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wetton controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wetton won't allow Maine to sweep him here.

Wetton stays in close to Maine's body and controls the position.
Wetton pushes down on Maine's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Maine is looking for a sweep. Wetton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Maine has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Elite Island Training. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Maine is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wetton pulls his head out easily.

Wetton is working for a submission of some sort.
Wetton is pressing down on Maine's thigh, looking to free his foot. Maine is holding on for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wetton is looking to take a break and control but Maine is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wetton seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Maine is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
