Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23508 p4p, 23418 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Xxx Xxx's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 81 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 74 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter A closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter B, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes Fighter B against the cage but Fighter B circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fighter A fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Fighter A with a lazy takedown attempt
and Fighter B counters with a body kick that stops Fighter A in his tracks momentarily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Fighter B counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fighter A tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fighter B wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A lull in the action here as Fighter B stalls from top position.
Who's going to make the next move?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
You can see the frustration on Fighter A's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fighter A is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fighter A shoots in for a double leg but Fighter B sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice body kick from Fighter B.
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fighter B sprawls well. Fighter B wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet.
Fighter B avoids the head kick by Fighter A.
Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fighter B is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fighter A controls Fighter B momentarily but Fighter B frees himself.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter B is stalling in the full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fighter A has his takedown stuffed
and Fighter B counters with a low kick, right behind Fighter A 's knee.

Fighter B closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fighter A wants to control but Fighter B is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B is continuing to stall.
Fighter B sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Fighter A defending well though.
Fighter B is taking a breather. Fighter A says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fighter A is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fighter B shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fighter A but Fighter A pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fighter A shoots in and drives through. Fighter B sprawls well.
Fighter A slaps away a takedown attempt from Fighter B, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fighter B throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fighter A was covering up waiting for the punch and Fighter B finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fighter A working a defensive guard but Fighter B passes into half guard.
Fighter A is trying to maintain the position but Fighter B is very close to passing his half guard.
Fighter B sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A is looking for a sweep. Fighter B is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fighter A controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Fighter A has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fighter B is working away from the top position though.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Fighter B fails with the takedown.

Fighter B shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter A is trying to defend but Fighter B finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fighter B has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A trying to hold on to Fighter B's head to control him but Fighter B postures up.
Xxx Xxx has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fighter B is controlling the pace.
The adventures of Fighter B the control monster continue. Boring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter B is thwarting Fighter A's attempts to control the position.
Fighter B controlling the action here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Fighter B looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fighter A is fending him off so far but Fighter B persists. Nope, Fighter A circles away and we're back to standing.
Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A misses with a takedown attempt

and Fighter B holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fighter A tries to score a body lock takedown but Fighter B shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fighter A has clasped his hands together around Fighter B's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Fighter A connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Fighter B some visible discomfort.
What's Fighter B going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Fighter A looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Fighter B is avoiding damage well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A scores with punches from side control.
Fighter B struggling a bit here.
Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fighter B tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fighter A wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter A looks up at the clock and then as Fighter B takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fighter A smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Fighter B has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
