The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fortes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A nice combination there by Simon.
Fortes closes the distance and pushes Simon back into the cage.
Fortes goes for a takedown attempt but Simon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Simon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fortes throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Paul Simon has been cut.
A jab from Simon finds it's way through Fortes's defenses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Simon tries a head kick but it misses.

Fortes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fortes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fortes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fortes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fortes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Simon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Simon fails to land with a series of punches.
Simon loads up on a big right hand but Fortes slips the punch.
A nice combination there by Simon.
Fortes is rocked!
Simon connects with a nice cross there... Fortes is looking wobbly and Simon recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Fortes to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Simon jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
