Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucky Lemon (ranked 267 p4p, 1375 weight class) and Ashton Ladd (ranked 42 p4p, 187 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ashton Ladd!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemon throws a body punch but Ladd moves out of range.
Lemon just misses with a punch to the body.
Lemon misses with a looping right.
Lemon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
An attempted straight right counter from Lemon misses the target.
Ladd throws a hook to the side of Lemon's head but Lemon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ladd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lemon.
A jab from Ladd misses.
Lemon instigates a clinch.
Ladd is leaning against Lemon and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Lemon is looking to take this one to the mat.

Lemon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ladd is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lemon swings wildly with an uppercut but Ladd uses good head movement to avoid it.
A nice left hand lands by Ladd.
Ladd looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lemon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A nice left hand lands by Ladd.

Lemon gets control of Ladd's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lemon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lemon lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ladd escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lemon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ladd is trying to improve his position.
Lemon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lemon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ladd has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lemon but great work by Ladd.
Ladd is looking to take a break and control but Lemon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ladd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lemon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ladd tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lemon tries to bench press Ladd off him but Ladd keeps the position.
Lemon is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ladd's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Ladd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ladd is sitting in close to Lemon's body. Lemon has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ladd is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ladd is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lemon.
