Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Park Yo Ka (ranked 796 p4p, 846 weight class) and Michiel Kortenhorst (ranked 112 p4p, 119 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Park Yo Ka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michiel Kortenhorst! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yo Ka closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kortenhorst did well to prevent Yo Ka getting side control. Kortenhorst looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kortenhorst trying to control here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kortenhorst blocking the ground and pound attempt from Yo Ka. Yo Ka is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kortenhorst is trying to maintain the position but Yo Ka is very close to passing his half guard. Yo Ka seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kortenhorst is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yo Ka pulls his head out easily. Kortenhorst won't allow Yo Ka to pass to mount.

Kortenhorst works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's four minutes gone in the round. Yo Ka manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Yo Ka wants to free his trapped foot but Kortenhorst is holding on for dear life with his legs. Yo Ka works his way into side control. Yo Ka has knee on belly and moves into mount. Yo Ka scoring with strikes but Kortenhorst is staying in there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yo Ka takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kortenhorst really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Park Yo Ka dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Kortenhorst takes a shot right to the bread basket. Yo Ka lands with a straight right. Kortenhorst didn't see that one coming. Yo Ka shoots in and gets a takedown into Kortenhorst's guard. Kortenhorst working a defensive guard here.

Kortenhorst defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Yo Ka looking to control but Kortenhorst is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Yo Ka is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kortenhorst can do to turn this around? Kortenhorst is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kortenhorst sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Yo Ka looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yo Ka is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kortenhorst has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Yo Ka is looking to defend but Kortenhorst has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Yo Ka! Kortenhorst pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Yo Ka taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Michiel Kortenhorst! After winning the bout, Michiel Kortenhorst thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
