Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hrvoje Kovacevic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raimo Kivi!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kivi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kivi thumps Kovacevic with a low kick.
Kivi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kovacevic just misses with a punch to the body.
Kivi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kovacevic lands with a nice body punch.
Kovacevic takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kovacevic misses with a body punch
and Kivi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kivi slips under a jab from Kovacevic.
Kivi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kivi throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kovacevic.

and Kivi counters with a thumping low kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kivi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kovacevic darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kovacevic gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kovacevic throws a hook to the side of Kivi's head but Kivi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kovacevic on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

It seemed like Kivi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We've been informed that Kivi has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Kovacevic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kivi moves away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kovacevic crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kivi - the referee stops the clock and Kovacevic gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kivi. Kovacevic manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kivi! But no joy.

Kovacevic sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kivi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kovacevic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Kovacevic there.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Kivi in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Kovacevic throws a pinpoint strike between Kivi's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Kivi crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Kovacevic scores a great knockout victory!
