This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 32 wins and 18 losses; Abubakar Camara! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Zulu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Zulu (4) vs (0) Camara Zulu trying to control the position but Camara is working away. Camara is looking for a sweep. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Zulu is looking to take a break and control but Camara is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zulu controls the position from side control.

Camara fails to take his opponent's back. Zulu bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Our spies down at at Convicted Fight Club inform us that Camara has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Zulu (6) vs (7) Camara Zulu slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Camara showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Zulu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Camara wants to pass the guard but Zulu is keeping the position. Zulu lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Zulu (8) vs (7) Camara Zulu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Camara swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Zulu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Zulu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Camara's guard. Zulu stalling. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Camara is trying to maintain the position but Zulu is very close to passing his half guard.

Zulu wants to free his trapped foot but Camara is holding on for dear life with his legs. Zulu is taking a breather. Camara says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Camara is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Zulu is staying active.
