Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nik Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tota Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddel has chosen A Day to Remember - "The Downfall of Us All" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Nik Miller has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nik Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tota Liddel! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Liddel to the mat! Liddel manages to get full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Miller working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Liddel keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. Liddel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Miller is controlling him. Miller throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Liddel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Miller with a flurry of punches that miss. Liddel keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Liddel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tota Liddel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Miller trying to control from half guard but Liddel is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Miller is trying to control the action in half guard but Liddel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Liddel pushes Miller off looking to stand but Miller dives back in and keeps control.
Miller is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Liddel still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Liddel has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Liddel controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller tries to buck Liddel off but Liddel is having none of it. Liddel tries to score with some ground and pound. Miller controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Liddel decides to take the fight back to the feet. Liddel with a nice cross. Nik Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller fails to land the takedown. Liddel looks to score with a jab to the body but Miller is just out of range. Some wild striking there from Liddel.
Miller doesn't manage to clinch there - Liddel circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Liddel as he avoids it easily. Miller is breathing heavily. Liddel tests Miller's chin there with a solid looking shot. Miller tries to clinch but Liddel is having none of it. Miller shoots in looking for a takedown. Liddel tries to sprawl out of it but Miller keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Liddel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nik Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller slips a jab and a cross from Liddel.
Liddel throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Liddel stuffs the takedown. Miller closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Miller dodges the punch combination from Liddel.
Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Liddel - just one landing. Liddel scores with a hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A jab from Liddel finds it's way through Miller's defenses. Donk. Liddel catches Miller right on the button with a cross. Some wild striking there from Liddel.
Liddel misses with a head kick.
Miller on the wrong end of a nice jab. Liddel drops Miller with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Miller! Liddel dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tota Liddel!
