Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zekariays Solomon (ranked 765 p4p, 1045 weight class) and Jimmy Nitro (ranked 117 p4p, 165 weight class). Nitro is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by A Perfect Hero - Super Eurobeat. Jimmy Nitro told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zekariays Solomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Nitro!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitro misses with a hook
and Solomon counters with a nice body shot.
We've been informed that Nitro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Solomon gets the takedown into side control.
Solomon trying to control the action but Nitro is working from the bottom.
Nitro is looking to reverse the position.
Nitro looks to move to half guard but instead Solomon has passed into mount! Damn!
Solomon scoring with strikes but Nitro is staying in there.
Solomon unloading with bombs!
Solomon has hold of Nitro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nitro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Solomon with the ground and pound from mount.

Nitro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Nitro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solomon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Solomon lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Nitro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Solomon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Solomon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nitro keeping moving, preventing Solomon from controlling successfully.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nitro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Solomon defends well.
Solomon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Solomon looking to sit in guard and control but Nitro gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Nitro looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nitro is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Solomon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nitro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nitro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Solomon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nitro has managed to get both his arms back between Solomon's legs - danger averted.
Solomon trying to keep a closed guard but Nitro is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nitro wants to pass the guard but Solomon is keeping the position.
Nitro keeps trying to improve his position.
Nitro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Solomon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Solomon has escaped and now he's on top!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nitro looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Solomon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Zekariays Solomon dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Solomon fails with the takedown
and Nitro counters by moving into the clinch.
Solomon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nitro can do to turn this around?
A head punch blocked on the inside by Solomon.
Nitro swings wildly with an uppercut but Solomon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Nitro obliges.
Solomon manages to break the clinch.
Solomon seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A thudding body kick lands there by Nitro!
Nitro lands a nice looking kick to the body. Solomon takes a step back to recover.
Nitro lands a head kick!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Nitro.
Nitro cracks Solomon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nitro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Solomon tries to counter with a takedown but Nitro is quick to defend against it.
Nitro pushes Solomon away with a front kick.
Nitro lands with an overhand left.
Solomon on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Donk. Nitro catches Solomon right on the button with a cross.
Nitro throws an overhand right that lands on Solomon's shoulder, as Solomon tries to avoid the shot.
A quick step to the side and Solomon tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nitro misses with a hook. Solomon ducked under it nicely.
Nitro throws a front kick that sends Solomon stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nitro throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nitro scores with a kick to the body.
Nitro darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nitro scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Zekariays Solomon has been cut.
Nitro lands a nice hook to Solomon's body. Solomon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Solomon will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Nitro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nitro explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Nitro is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Solomon is rocked!
Jimmy Nitro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nitro drops Solomon with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Solomon! Nitro dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Nitro!
