Shifter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Shifter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kvakkestad's guard.

Shifter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Shifter throws a strike but Kvakkestad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kvakkestad is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kvakkestad rolls with it to try and escape but Shifter cranks on the arm and Kvakkestad is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
