Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazhymukan Manaitpasov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cutter Lune! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manaitpasov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lune moves away. Lune throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Manaitpasov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lune's guard. Lune is looking for a triangle but Manaitpasov pushes his legs off easily.
Lune is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lune preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Manaitpasov looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Lune has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Manaitpasov doesn't defend quickly enough and Lune has managed to lock this one up! Can Manaitpasov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lune on a fantastic submission victory.
