Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tmas Panzy (ranked 5035 p4p, 3954 weight class) and Green Bastard (ranked 451 p4p, 395 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tmas Panzy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Green Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bastard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bastard tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Bastard is looking to take a break and control but Panzy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bastard throws an elbow but Panzy slips to the side and avoids it well.
Panzy is not content to let Bastard control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panzy is trying to control Bastard's posture but Bastard avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes there by Bastard.

Bastard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Panzy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bastard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panzy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You can see the frustration on Panzy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Panzy is letting Bastard control him for a moment.
Bastard throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Panzy works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Well, if Bastard is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bastard wants to control but Panzy is keeping him busy.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bastard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bastard misses with a takedown attempt - Panzy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bastard shoots in and bounces Panzy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Panzy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bastard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bastard shoots in for a takedown but Panzy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Panzy changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Panzy tries to sprawl but Bastard drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Panzy keeping control of the position.
Bastard is looking to advance position but Panzy won't allow it.

Green Bastard dominated that round.
That's time! Panzy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Panzy leaves Bastard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bastard is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Panzy's half guard.
Panzy works his way to full guard. Good work.
Green Bastard has got the better of the ground game so far.

Panzy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Bastard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Panzy defends well and Bastard ends up having to push Panzy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bastard is defended easily by Panzy.

Bastard shoots for a double leg takedown but Panzy sprawls well. He's pushed Bastard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Panzy is concentrating on defense, preventing Bastard from advancing position.

Bastard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Panzy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bastard manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
