Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bruce (ranked 756 p4p, 576 weight class) and Tokoni Soaki (ranked 48 p4p, 34 weight class). Soaki is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Le Manu - Shepherds Reign. Jack Bruce could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tokoni Soaki's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Bruce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tokoni Soaki! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soaki goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Nice defenses there by Soaki. Bruce lands a slapping body shot.
Soaki dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A big left from Bruce misses. Soaki has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Soaki missing with a left hand there. Bruce was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Soaki rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bruce counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Tokoni Soaki has been cut. A jab from Bruce misses. Soaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bruce swats him away and circles back towards the center. Soaki scores with a nice strike. Soaki shoots in for a double leg but Bruce sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Soaki scores with a decent looking hook. Bruce has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Monkey Magic in the buildup to the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soaki lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Jack Bruce has been cut. A slow jab from Bruce misses its intended target. Bruce blocks a jab. Soaki throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bruce counters with a stiff right hand. Bruce pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bruce misses with a wild body shot. Bruce throws a body punch but Soaki moves out of range. Soaki misses with a hook. Soaki shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bruce manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bruce trying to control the position.
Bruce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bruce controlling Soaki's posture. Soaki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bruce is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soaki sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bruce controls Soaki momentarily but Soaki frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soaki throwing strikes but missing. Soaki throwing strikes from guard but Bruce blocks nicely.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. A cross from Soaki lands. Bruce looks to land a right hand but Soaki moved out of range. Bruce darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Bruce uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Soaki. Soaki throws a lazy uppercut
and Bruce counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bruce lands a nice looking body shot.
Bruce lands a nice hook to Soaki's body. Soaki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Bruce throws out a powerful jab. Soaki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bruce as he jumps to the side. Soaki jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bruce cracks Soaki with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bruce has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Soaki to stand back up!
That has opened up Tokoni Soaki's cut even more. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bruce takes a swing at Soaki's ribcage but misses. Soaki throws a big shot that misses. Bruce misses with a straight left. Soaki jabbing away but nothing is landing. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Bruce will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Bruce's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Bruce moves out of range of the body kick. Soaki throws a right hand that misses
and Bruce counters with a straight right hand. Soaki throws a jab but it's blocked by Bruce. A punch combination from Soaki misses. Bruce throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Soaki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bruce swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bruce is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Soaki throws a lazy uppercut
and Bruce counters with a nice body shot. Soaki is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Bruce just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Soaki has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jack Bruce! An out of breath Jack Bruce thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Tokoni Soaki was interviewed post fight and said 'Thank you to my opponent and all the fans, my coaches and sponsors.
And to everyone in my division, Teke lava tauolunga mo au? (Do you wanna Dance with me?)'.
