The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Curls clinches. Curls pulls guard successfully.
Average controls from within his opponent's guard. Curls keeping moving, preventing Average from controlling successfully. Curls not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Average tries to free his leg and advance position but Curls is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Average trying to control the position from guard on top but Curls is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Average pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Curls is keeping the position for now.

Curls got a little sloppy there for a moment and Average has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Curls has managed to get both his arms back between Average's legs - danger averted. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Curls wants to control from the top but Average keeps moving. Curls tries to free his leg and advance position but Average is retaining full guard. Average trying to keep a closed guard but Curls is proving a slippery customer.

Average looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Curls has picked Average up and slammed him! Average is looking to get back to full guard here but Curls has managed to pass to side control instead. He's got hold of Average's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that!
