And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 1 losses; Walon Green! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Green shoots for a double leg takedown but Halleck sprawls well. He's pushed Green's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Green shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Green showed some decent athleticism there. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Halleck (0) vs (2) Green Halleck is refusing to be controlled, as Green sits in half guard. Halleck moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Halleck definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Halleck has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Green has passed into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Green trying to control the action but Halleck is working from the bottom. Halleck tries to bench press Green off him but Green keeps the position. Green looking to control but instead Halleck has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Green is working for a kimura but Halleck is defending it quite comfortably.

Halleck is working hard here to advance position. Halleck wants to control but Green is having none of it. Halleck can't escape the position.

Green tries to get the hooks in deep but Halleck pushed the leg off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green is trying to stick to Halleck's back but Halleck is turning into Green. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Green's guard. Halleck is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Halleck is looking to take a break and control but Green is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Green wants to improve his position but Halleck is controlling well.
Halleck is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Green defends it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Green tries to get to full guard but Halleck has control of the leg. Green is defending against the submission attempts here by Halleck.
Green moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Green looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Halleck is defending well. Green quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Halleck has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Green celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
