Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between frank mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Guy acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, frank mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Guy! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! mir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Guy swivels and escapes. mir keeps the fight on the outside. Guy moves in looking to clinch but mir pushes him off. Guy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. mir is looking to clinch but Guy is avoiding it.
Guy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Guy darts in trying to clinch and mir counters with a flying knee. Nice. Guy tries to close the distance and clinch but mir swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Guy tries to clinch but mir moves out of range. Guy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around mir's waist but mir gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guy off to one side. Guy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Guy fails in his attempt to clinch. Guy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by mir. mir feints and as Guy raises his hands in defense, mir changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Guy can't keep his opponent in guard - mir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Guy trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. mir is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Guy sees it coming and defends easily. Guy makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Guy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. mir tries for a takedown but Guy circles away easily and Guy counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for frank mir. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guy takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Guy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Guy looks gassed! mir tries for a takedown but Guy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Guy misses with the combination.
Guy moves into the clinch successfully.
Guy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ray Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. mir shoots in for a double leg but Guy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. mir avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Guy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Guy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! mir gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. mir gets full guard. mir pushes a forearm under Guy's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Guy is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
