The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Frederick drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Sixty Five (0) vs (4) Frederick Sixty Five tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Frederick wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Frederick passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sixty Five! Score +2 for reaching mount: Sixty Five (0) vs (6) Frederick The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sixty Five is controlling an arm, preventing Frederick from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Sixty Five wants to hold on but Frederick pushes him away. Frederick prevents Sixty Five from getting the reversal. Frederick looking to control and managing it successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frederick trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Frederick tries to control but Sixty Five wriggling away. Frederick controlling from mount. Sixty Five tries to lock up and control but Frederick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sixty Five is looking to improve his position but Frederick isn't that keen on the idea. Sixty Five wants to control but Frederick is having none of it. Sixty Five bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Sixty Five (2) vs (6) Frederick Frederick wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Frederick looking to control.
Frederick is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sixty Five pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Frederick is keeping the position for now. Sixty Five wants to control from the top but Frederick keeps moving. Sixty Five tries to free his leg and advance position but Frederick is retaining full guard. Frederick looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sixty Five stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frederick swivels though and keeps the full guard. Frederick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sixty Five manages to get himself to full guard.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frederick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Frederick is sitting in close to Sixty Five's body. Sixty Five has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Frederick is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Frederick is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Sixty Five.
